March of Dimes

Premature birth is the number one cause of newborn death. Every year, more than half a million babies are born too soon—almost 30,000 right here in Florida, but together we can help change that statistic.
Every year, the Gainesville Zetas walk for babies and raise money to donate to the March of Dimes. Thanks to YOUR support, the Gainesville Zetas have donated thousands of dollars to this worthy cause! To join the fight against prematurity, please come out and support our future March of Dimes fundraisers.s
Meet our ambassador, Justin Williams!

Justin is the nephew of Delta Sigma Zeta Soror Terasa Banks. Justin was born prematurely due to his mother developing pre-eclampsia. Her blood pressure was so high, the doctor made the decision to deliver him early. Justin was born at 3 lbs. 9 oz. His doctor was afraid he would have complications, but thankfully, none of those fears came to pass. He spent a week in the neonatal intensive care unit, and came home at a little over 4 lbs. Justin is now a healthy, vibrant 15 year old! We are so proud to have him as our Ambassador! #WhyWeWalk #FightingForBabiesSince1972
